Brooklyn Cruz Signs With Titan Women

Brooklyn Cruz, a 5-foot, 8-inch guard from Palo Verde High in Las Vegas has signed to play for Eastern Florida's women's basketball team next season.

Cruz averaged 17 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game as the team captain. She was an All-Sunrise Conference pick; honorable mention All-State; and a three-time Scholar Athlete Award winner.

"Brooklyn is going to be great in our system," said Eastern Florida head coach Jim Grimes.

"She is versatile enough to play three positions and her basketball IQ is going to make her very special here. She is great with the ball in her hands and makes everyone around her better. She also is a great kid who comes from a great family. I cannot wait to coach her. It should be fun."

Cruz joins Carly Epstein, a 6-foot, 2-inch center from Palm Beach, Florida and Palm Beach Gardens High School as a signee.

The Titans finished the season 20-10 overall and 13-2 in the FCSAA Southern Conference, claiming their second straight conference title and advancing to the NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Tournament for the second straight season.
