Bio

Catherine McDaniel begins her third season as an assistant coach. A 2006 graduate of Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne, FL, McDaniel began her intercollegiate career at Manatee Community College in Bradenton, FL where she was named First-Team All-State, First-Team All-American and the All-State Pitcher of the Year.

McDaniel went on to become a three-year letter-winner at Florida Gulf Coast in Fort Myers. As a sophomore she was named to the Louisville Slugger/National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association First-Team All-South Region squad. As a senior she received Atlantic Sun Second-Team All-Conference honors.

McDaniel finished her career with the fourth-best ERA in program history (2.16) and is fourth with 48 victories. She is third with 347 strikeouts over 474 innings, surrendering just 1.49 walks per seven innings.

McDaniel earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2010 and began working toward a Master’s Degree in educational leadership.

Her coaching experience includes Morehead State University, KY, January 2012- May 2012; Melbourne High School: August 2011 - May 2013; and Brevard Fusion: May 2011- August 2011.
