Softball team shuts out Pasco-Hernando State College

The Eastern Florida State College softball team shut out Pasco-Hernando State College in the second game of the day for the Titans at the JUCO Kickoff in Clearwater.

The Titans defeated Pasco-Hernando 4-0 to leave Clearwater 2-0.

McKenzie Jewell pitched seven shutout innings, allowing five hits and struck out five for her first win of the season.

The Titans broke through in the third inning as Snell hit a sacrifice fly deep to left field, scoring Campos.

Then in the sixth inning they would score three more times to put the game away.

Theisen, Borkey, Snell and Livie Davis each drove in runs and Davis had two of the Titans six hits in the game, including a triple.

Eastern Florida State College (2-0) will travel to Lake Sumter State College for a doubleheader on Thursday beginning at 1 p.m. The home opener will be Saturday at 1 p.m. against South Florida State College.
