Softball team hosts Indian River State College Monday

The Eastern Florida State College softball team will play one final doubleheader on Monday at Titan Softball Complex.

The Titans will host Indian River State College in a Southern Conference doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. on the Melbourne campus. The Pioneers are one game behind Florida Southwestern in the conference standings heading into the final weekend.

Eastern Florida State College is coming off a doubleheader sweep against Miami Dade College on Wednesday and are in third place heading into the final two games.

Indian River State College comes into the contest on an eight-game winning streak and are 10-3 in the conference. The Pioneers lead Region VIII in team ERA with a 1.59 ERA this season and are striking out 7.89 hitters per seven innings which also leads Region VIII.
