Softball team falls to Florida Southwestern

The Eastern Florida State College softball team lost both games of a doubleheader Saturday to No. 1 Florida Southwestern on the road.

The Titans lost 11-3 and 5-1 to fall to 17-32 on the season.

In Game 1, the Bucs jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and would build a 10-0 after three innings. Down 11-0, the Titans would come back with three runs in the top of the fifth inning. Trinity Howard was 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI while Sam Clark drove in two runs.

In Game 2, Makenzie Fore hit an RBI single in the top of the first inning but Florida Southwestern would score twice in the bottom of the first inning and went on to post the 5-1 win as five Titans each had one hit.

Florida Southwestern is unbeaten in conference play at 11-0 and is now 43-3 overall.
