Clark has big day in EFSC softball team's win

The Eastern Florida State College softball team defeated State College of Florida Manatee on Friday in Bradenton.

The Titans jumped out to a fast start, scoring six times in the first two innings and rolled to a 9-1 victory.

Sam Clark singled scoring Trinity Howard and then Clark scored on Makenzie Fore's double to give the Titans a 2-0 lead in the first inning. With two on in the second inning, Clark hit a double that scored Howard and Rachel Lamoureaux. Clark would once again score on Fore's double to make it 5-0. That brought up Marisa Shoudt who singled to score Fore.

Up 6-0, Eastern Florida State College would score three more runs to make it 9-0 in the fifth inning.

Mandy Hedetniemi-Taylor allowed just three hits and one run in five innings for the win. Clark finished with three hits and drove in five runs while Fore also had three hits as did Howard.
