The Eastern Florida State College softball team lost a close Southern Conference game with Miami Dade College Saturday in Miami.

The Titans tried to rally late but could not tie the game open as they would fall 2-1 to the Sharks.

Mandy Hedetniemi-Taylor allowed just two unearned runs in the game, striking out two.

Down 2-1 in the seventh inning, Faith Campos led off with a walk, stole second base and went to third on Gracie Snell's sacrifice bunt. Ava Bassani would drive her in with a groundout to third to cut the lead to 2-1.

Trinity Howard and Sam Clark each had hits in the game for the Titans.
