Softball team hosts Indian River State College on WEFS-TV Wednesday

The Eastern Florida State College softball team will host Indian River State College in a battle of the top two Southern Conference games Wednesday at Titan Softball Complex. 

The Titans head into the week in second place in the Southern Conference and will host conference-leading Indian River State College in a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. and will be broadcast live on WEFS-TV, which is channel 9 or 455 on Spectrum, 68 on DirecTV, 30 on Dish and 68 on AT&T Uverse.

Eastern Florida State College is one of the hottest teams in the conference winning six of their last eight games and have beaten Indian River State College three times this season.

Indian River State College is in first place in the conference with a 14-4 record but has lost three of the past four games. The Pioneers are fourth in Region 8 in team ERA with a 2.14 as Devan Ryan leads the state in ERA with a 0.53 in 66.1 innings. 

Sophomore Kayla Domon is third in stolen bases in the state with 39 this season. Domon is second on the team with a .421 batting average behind teammate Brooke Theisen who is hitting .427 this season. Both are in the top 16 in the state.

The two teams are tied in the series this season with each team winning three times heading into Wednesday's doubleheader. Admission to Titan Softball Complex is free.
