Softball team defeats Palm Beach State College

The Eastern Florida State College softball team defeated Palm Beach State College 7-5 Saturday at the Southern Conference Round Robin in Jensen Beach.

The Titans jumped out to an early lead as Madison Neuhaus hit a two-run home run and then Victoria Perez hit a solo home run.

Perez hit her second home run of the game in the fourth inning to make it 4-1. But two Palm Beach State College home runs cut the lead to 5-4 in the sixth inning.

But the Titans would score two more times in the top of the seventh to hold on for the win.

McKinleigh Millard pitched a complete game for the win. Perez finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI while Neuhaus had two hits, driving in three.

The Titans will play Indian River State College at 10 a.m. Sunday and then wrap up the conference round robin at 2 p.m. against Miami Dade College.
