Softball team remains perfect in Southern Conference

The Eastern Florida State College softball team swept Broward College on the road Saturday to improve to 8-0 in the Southern Conference.

The Titans won 11-3 and 4-2 in the doubleheader to remain perfect in conference play.

In Game 1, Katelyn Wilfert tossed a complete game for her 15th win of the season while Caitlin Meyer hit a home run and Emily Bartlett had a three-run double.

In Game 2 it was McKinleigh Millard who posted the complete game win, her fourth of the season. Caitlin Meyer hit another home run and now leads the team with seven home runs on the season.

The Titans will host Indian River State College in a battle of red-hot teams in the Southern Conference on Monday evening. Indian River State College is 6-2 in the conference and has won six straight while the Titans have won five in a row heading into Monday's showdown. The first game of the doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and admission is free to Titan Softball Complex.
