Men's cross country team places fourth at FSC Invite

The Eastern Florida State College men's cross country team had their best finish of the season on Friday evening at the FSC Invite in Lakeland.

The Titans had two runners finish in the top 10 individually and the team placed fourth overall at Holloway Park.

Simon DeVoss ran his season-best to finish sixth overall in the race, finishing in 26 minutes, 59.17 seconds. Teammate Dayton Law finished in 27:33.30 and crossed the line in 10th place.

Anthony Bergnes placed 25th overall, running the event in 29:03.07 while Trevor Cross was right behind him at 29:11.65 for 29th place. Gabriel Garcia finished in 30:40.33 and Christian Calderon ran across the line in 30:54.43 while Nicholas Spence finished in 30:59.66.

Ethan Heise was right behind them, finishing in 31:13 while Chase Hill finished in 31:52, Carter Vigneri finished in 31:57 and Colin McAdams was at 32:03. Matt Weiler finished the race in 34:23.

North Florida won the event as Seth Martinez won the event and his teammates finished 2-5. South Florida was second and host Florida Southern was third.
