Men's cross country program announces first signings

Eastern Florida State College men's cross country coach Doug Butler has announced his first five signings.

Four of the five runners are from Brevard County and three competed for two of the top teams in the county.

Joshua Ingalls won a cross country state title with Viera High School and has run both cross country and track for four seasons. Ingalls has run a 4:44 in the 1600, a 10:13 in the 3200 and 16:13 in the 5K.

Ethan Heise has also run cross country and track for four years at Melbourne High School and has run a 5:04 in the 1600, a 10:50 in the 3200 and a 5K in 17:29.

Teammate Gabriel Good has run cross country and track for four years with the Bulldogs and is dual enrolled at Eastern Florida State College. Good has run a 4:51 in the 1600 meters and 10:38 in the 3200 with a 5K time of 17:15.

Kai Cheatham will also join the inaugural team. Cheatham ran for Cocoa Beach High School, graduating in 2020 and has run the 1600 in 4:33, 10:05 in the 3200 and his 5K time is 16:11.

Timber Creek senior Nicholas Spence has also signed his letter of intent to join the Titans. Spence has run 10:18 for 3200 and 17:09 in the 5k.

The men's cross country program will begin its inaugural season in August.
