Men's tennis team picks up fourth straight win

The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team defeated Atlantis University Tuesday afternoon on the road.

The Titans picked up the 7-0 victory to win their fourth straight match.

In doubles, the duo of Hugo Car and Jack Dixon on 6-3 at No. 1 doubles as did the No. 2 doubles team of Nick DeVivo and Colin Tavares. At No. 3 doubles, Konstantin Kukaras and Alexandr Achour teamed up to post a 6-2 win.

Up 3-0, the Titans swept the singles matches as Car won at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0 while Dixon picked up the win at No. 2 10-8 in the tiebreaker after splitting the first two sets.

DeVivo won at No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-1 and Jett Leong won at No. 4 singles 6-2, 6-0. Tavares won at No. 5 singles and Kakaras won at No. 6 singles.

Eastern Florida State College will be home on Wednesday afternoon for a match against the Keiser University JV team at 1 p.m.
