Men's tennis team falls against Keiser University

The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team battled Keiser University on Thursday afternoon at Titan Tennis Center.

The Titans, who are ranked third in the ITA Junior College national rankings, fell to Keiser University 5-3 Thursday in a match that saw a couple of third set tiebreakers. Keiser University is No. 3 in the NAIA coaches poll.

Eastern Florida State College won two of the three doubles matches to take a lead heading into the singles matches as both the No. 1 duo of Hugo Car and Jack Dixon picked up a win and the No. 2 team of Colin Tavares and Nick DeVivo battled for a 7-5 win.

In singles matches, Keiser University battled back winning some close matches to pull out the win.

Car picked up the win at No. 1 singles in three sets, winning the first set 7-5 on a big ace up the middle. Car fell in the second set but bounced back in the third, winning 6-4.

Eastern Florida State College will travel to Texas for a big couple days of matches in Tyler, Texas March 10 to 12.
