Men's tennis team defeats USC Sumter

The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team defeated USC Sumter Friday morninng in a non-conference match at Titan Tennis Center.

The Titans improved to 6-0 on the season with the 8-1 victory.

Eastern Florida State College swept the doubles matches to hold a 3-0 lead heading into singles playHugo Car and Lucas Gonzalez picked up the 8-4 win, George Myers Millington and Colin Tavares teamed up for an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles while Eric Tripathi and Eavan Attie won the No. 3 doubles match 8-1.

Car, Tripathi, Tavares, Jett Leong and Victor Arrese each won their singles matches in straight sets to give the Titans the victory.

Eastern Florida State College will host Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College on Sunday at 9 a.m. in a matchup of two of the top five teams in the nation. Sunday's match at Titan Tennis Center will be free for fans.
