Men's tennis team defeats Bates College Wednesday

The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team defeated Bates College on Wednesday afternoon at Titan Tennis Center.

The team opened the day by winning two of the three doubles matches and then dominated the singles matches to post the 8-1 victory to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Santino Morel Reider got off to a slow start, losing the first set 6-1 to Nick Forester. But he bounced back to win the second set 6-3 to force a third set. Up 2-1 in the third Reider hed and broke to take a 4-2 lead. They would split and up 5-3 Reider served for the match. He would serve an ace and then won the final point to post the 6-3 win.

Lucas Gonzalez picked up a straight set win at No. 1 singles while Ramiro Rincon won at No. 3 singles. Luc Pasqual Camps won in straight sets at No. 4 singles while Jaewoo Choi and Enric Porcar won at five and six singles.

The Titans will play Davenport University at Lake Nona on Tuesday.
