The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team will take the court for the first time Friday afternoon.

The Titans come into the season as one of the top teams in the nation and will open the regular season at St. Leo University at 3 p.m.

"St. Leo will be a good test for the men, but they are excited to get the season started and want to play," Eastern Florida State College men's tennis coach Bobby Cashman said. "I am excited about this group, we have some really good depth that I am excited to watch this season."

Lucas Gonzalez will head into the spring ranked 21st in the nation and fourth in Region IV in singles while teammate Jaewoo Choi is 22nd in the nation and fifth in Region IV. Lluc Pasqual Camps comes into the season 43rd in the nation and ninth in Region IV and Corentin Venot is ranked 18th in the Region IV singles rankings.

Two doubles teams are ranked in the top 15 in the nation as the duo of Gonzalez and Santino Morel Reider are eighth in the nation and second in the Region IV rankings. The duo of Camps and Choi are 15th in the national poll and third in the Region IV rankings.

The team will be home for the first time this season on Monday, hosting Gustavas Adolphus College at 10 a.m. at Titan Tennis Center.
