EFSC men's tennis team tops Keiser Universty

The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team defeated Keiser University, who is ranked second in the NAIA. 

The Titans, who are No. 4 in the latest Oracle ITA NJCAA Division I national rankings, edged Keiser 4-3 to pick up their fourth straight win.

Eastern Florida State College took an early lead by winning both the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches. The No. 1 singles team of Dario Kmet and Ramiro Rincon picked up a tight victory 7-6(9). The No. 3 doubles team of Tomas Reche and Bernardo Viera won 6-2 to give the Titans a 2-1 lead.

In singles action, Kmet won in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 and Sergio Gomez Boiz won at No. 4 singles, 6-4 and 6-2 to pick up the win.

The Titans (9-1) will wrap up the regular season at home April 19 against Temple University. The match is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. at Titan Tennis Center.
