Men's soccer team is No. 2 seed for NJCAA Division I National Tournament

The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team will be the No. 2 seed for the NJCAA Division I National Tournament beginning Sunday in Wichita, Kansas.

The Titans are back in the national tournament for the first time since 2019 when they advanced all the way to the national tournament final, falling 2-1 in the championship game. Eastern Florida State College comes into the tournament 15-1 and have won 11 straight games including the Region 8 and Southeast District titles.

"Very happy, I think it was kind of deserved but all of the hard work is deserved," Eastern Florida State College men's soccer coach Adam Butler said. "We have a difficult group and every team that made the national tournament is a good team, if you are going to go do something, you have to play the best."

Tyler Junior College is the No. 7 seed in the tournament after losing in the Plains District Championship and are 17-2-3 on the season.

Murray State is the No. 11 seed in the tournament after winning the Mid-South District Championship and is now 13-4-1 on the season.

The men's soccer team will open the national tournament on Sunday afternoon at Stryker Sports Complex, playing Murray State at 1:30 p.m. EST.
