Men's soccer team to honor sophomores Saturday night after game

The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team will honor its sophomore class following Saturday night's game at Orlando Health Stadium on the Melbourne campus.

The Titans will honor the 13 sophomores following their game against Lakeland United FC which begins at 7 p.m.

Eastern Florida State College comes into the matchup with a six-game unbeaten streak and are No. 16 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll.

Goalkeeper Jorge Ortega, defender Hayden Wood, midfielder Preston Price, forward Junior Smith, forward Rolando Onu, midfielder Sam Bayly, midfielder Randie Hernandez, defender Joseph Collins, midfielder Jaidon Seldon, defender Leandro Santoro, defender Thomas Chamberlain, defender Owen Armor and defender Elio Ortiz.

"It is a very talented group, a lot of good footballers, they are a talented group," Eastern Florida State College men's soccer coach Adam Butler said. "Their work ethic, as a group they work incredibly hard. Having this many players that have played in big moments before will help carry you through the big games that we have coming up."

The Titans will get back to Region 8 Conference play on Oct. 22, traveling to Daytona State College for a 7 p.m. game.
