Men's soccer players Gueye, Kyra and Moaoui named United Soccer All-Americans

Eastern Florida State College men's soccer player Moussa Gueye was named to United Soccer Coaches first team All-American.

Gueye, a sophomore defender for the Titans, was also named NJCAA Division I first team All-American. The Senegal native was the center back of a defense that allowed 13 goals in 20 games and recorded 13 shutouts. Gueye also had two goals and three assists including a goal in the national semifinals.

Gueye was on the second team last season making him the first Titan to be a United Soccer Association All-American in both his freshman and sophomore season.

Teammates Nour Moaoui and Aedon Kyra were both named to the second team.

Moaoui, a goalkeeper from Palm Bay, finished his sophomore season with a program-record 12 shutouts and allowed eight goals in 17 games this season. Moaoui finished fifth in the nation in goals against average, averaging 0.46.

Kyra, a forward from New South Wales, Australia, finished his sophomore season with a team-high 16 goals including four game-winners and had seven assists.

The United Soccer Coaches Association also named the all-region teams and the men's soccer team had five players make the All-East Region team.

Joining Moaoui, Gueye, Kyra on the team were sophomore midfielder Abdel Kuku and freshman midfielder Abdoulaye Diop.

The Titans finished the season 16-2-2 and lost in the NJCAA Division I National Championship Game in Tyler, Texas.
