Men's soccer team hosts Daytona State in key conference matchup

The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team will host Daytona State College Wednesday night in a key Region 8 Conference matchup.

The Titans are 3-0-1 in the conference and tied for first place heading into Wednesday's game with Daytona State College which begins at 7 p.m. at Orlando Health Stadium on the Melbourne campus.

Daytona State College comes into the meeting 2-3 in the conference and 10-5 overall. The Titans won the first meeting at Daytona State College 1-0 in double overtime.

Wednesday night's game will feature two of the top scorers in the conference as sophomore Aedon Kyra leads Region 8 with nine goals while the Falcons' Dujon Martin has eight.

Eastern Florida State College goalkeeper Nour Moaoui is tied for first in the nation in save percentage, stopping .923 percent of the shots he has faced this season. The defense has recorded seven shutouts already this season and have outscored opponents 16-2 over the past eight games.

The Titans come into Wednesday night's game No. 4 in the latest NJCAA Division I rankings at 9-1-1 overall. Admission to games at Orlando Health Stadium is free.
