The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team tied Broward College in a battle of first place teams in the Region 8 Conference Friday night.
The Titans got on the board in the first half as Levonte Johnson and Hugo Catherine set up sophomore Aedon Kyra, who scored his ninth goal of the season to give the Titans a 1-0 lead.
Broward would tie the match in the 70th minute and the two teams battled through two overtimes.
"It was a tough conference game as expected. Happy with the effort and intensity that we competed with," Eastern Florida State College men's soccer coach Oliver Twelvetrees said. "We are looking forward to the return match at Orlando Health Stadium."
First the Titans will host Daytona State College in a conference matchup Wednesday night at 7 p.m. while Broward will host ASA Miami Thursday night.
Then the two will meet in the final regular season game for both teams on Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. on the Melbourne campus. Admission to games at Orlando Health Stadium is free.
