Sophomores moving on to play at four-year colleges

Nine members of the Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team will be moving on to play at four-year colleges next Fall.

Three of the nine will be playing at NCAA Division I schools, while four will be attending Division II schools and two will be at NAIA institutions.

Defensive back Rhys Myers will be attending Butler University in the fall after starting 33 of 34 games in two seasons with the Titans. Myers was named a United Soccer Coaches Association first team All-American while with the Titans and will play with the Bulldogs in the Big East Conference.

Goalkeeper Nick Brady will be going to the University of South Carolina in the fall after starting seven games with the Titans and posted a shutout.

Midfielder Troy Gonzalez decided to attend NCAA Division I Incarnate Word after starting 26 of his 30 games with the Titans.

Abdul Ganiyu and Jimmy Mwanga will be staying together as both have decided to attend Lewis University, an NCAA Division II school in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Kyle Ferguson will be staying close to home, moving on to Florida Tech who plays in the Sunshine State Conference along with Saint Leo where teammate Dylan Moreira will be attending in the Fall.

Uziel Hernandez will be attending Florida College which is an NAIA school located in Temple Terrace and Tajay Reid is going to be going to Lindsey Wilson, an NAIA school in Columbia, Kentucky.

The group helped the Titans win 15 games and make it to the semifinals of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
