Men's soccer team shuts out ASA Miami

The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team won its fourth straight game, defeating ASA Miami on the road in a Region 8 Conference game.

The Titans improved to 8-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference with the 1-0 victory. After a scoreless first half of soccer, Uziel Hernandez broke the tie with his fifth goal of the season on an assist from Sebastian Joffre.

"It was a very physical game, proud of the players composure and discipline in a tough environment against a very competitive team," Eastern Florida State College men's soccer coach Oliver Twelvetrees said. "We had to work really hard for our opportunity and Uziel was the right man in the right place to score the winner."

In the four-game winning streak, the Titans have outscored opponents 12-1. Eastern Florida State College will go for five in a row next Wednesday when they travel to Broward College who is 2-0 in the Region 8 Conference.
