Men's soccer team falls to Broward in conference opener
The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team could not break through against Broward College, losing the Region 8 Conference opener Thursday night at Titan Soccer Complex.
The third-ranked Titans had multiple chances to score including a penalty kick but Broward's defense was up to the challenge and with 6:28 remaining in regulation Max Ilskens scored to give the Seahaws a 1-0 lead.
The Titans tried to tie the game and had two chances in the final 30 seconds but couldn't get the goal to send it into overtime.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Florida Southern to play the JV team on Tuesday night and then head to Georgia to play No 15 Georgia Military as well as Montgomery College over the weekend.
