Men's golfer Nick Miller wins Glenlakes Invitational title

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team placed fourth at the Glenlakes Invitational in Foley, Alabama on Tuesday.

Sophomore Nick Miller won the individual title, shooting 2-under in the final round to capture his first individual title of the season. Miller had five birdies and three bogeys in the round and finished the tournament 3-under par.

"Awesome job as he was three shots back going into the final round. He fought and scrapped for every shot today," Eastern Florida State College men's golf coach Jamie Howell said.

Teammate Bryan Hernandez finished in a tie for 22nd after shooting a 75 in the final round and finished 3-over for the tournament. Masen McKain shot a 78 and tied for 26th overall and Adam Vermut shot a 75 for the second straight round, finishing in 32nd and Adam Ward had an 81.

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College won the tournament, shooting a 279 in the final round. Central Alabama Community College was second with Wallace State third and the Titans four after a 298 in the final round.

The men's golf team will host Hamilton College on Thursday at 1 p.m. and then will travel to the Barry Buccaneer Invitational on April 1-2.
