Men's golf team tied for first at Southeastern District Preview

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team is tied for first place after two rounds at the NJCAA Southeastern District Preview in Union Grove, Alabama.

The Titans shot rounds of 298 and 299 and are tied with Central Alabama heading into the final round at Cherokee Ridge Course at the Cherokee Ridge Country Club.

Sophomore Adam Vermut is in third place overall after shooting rounds of 1-over par 73 and even par 72. He is two strokes behind Central Alabama's James Baker who leads the tournament.

Teammate Nicholas Miller is tied for ninth overall with rounds of 76 and 74 and Jamie Chepenik shot two rounds of 76 and is tied for 15th overall with Masen McKain who shot 75 and 77. Bryan Hernandez shot a 74 in the first round and 78 in the second round.

Calhoun College is in third place with Wallace State fourth and Jefferson State fifth overall.

The Titans will play in the final round of the tournament on Tuesday morning.
