Men's golf team in second heading into final round in Alabama

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team is one stroke behind the leader after two rounds of the 2023 Glenlakes Invitational in Foley, Alabama.

The Titans shot rounds of 299 and 293 to shoot a 592 and trail leader Wallace State Community College heading into the final round on Tuesday. Mississippi Gulf Coast CC is in third place with a 597.

Robert Greninger is tied for second overall after rounds of 70 and 72 and is 2-under for the tournament.

Teammate Brandon Boncore is tied for ninth with rounds of 74 and 75, while Murphy Allard is tied for 14th, shooting 77 and 74. Nicholas Miller bounced back from a tough first round with an even-par 72 in the afternoon and is tied for 24th while Adam Vermut is also tied for 24th with a 78 and 75 on Monday.

St. Thomas-Texas' Cade Kiser leads the tournament after shooting 73 and 68 on Monday and is 3-under.

"The golf course played difficult all day due to wet conditions and 10-15 mph winds," Eastern Florida State College men's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "The team fought and scrapped all day and tomorrow will be a good test for all as we will be paired with Wallace State and Mississippi Gulf Coast."

The final round will be on Tuesday morning at the Glen Lakes Golf Club in Alabama.
