Men's golf team makes move at Keiser Kup

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team rebounded in the second round of the Keiser Kup in West Palm Beach.

The Titans shot a 292 in the second round and moved up to seventh place overall heading into the final round at Okeeheelee Golf Course on Tuesday morning.

Murphy Allard is tied for 17th overall after shooting a 74 in the second round and is at 147 heading into the final round. Adam Vermut also shot a 74 in the second round to move up in the overall rankings.

Nick Miller shot a 1-over 72 in the second round while Brandon Boncore and Bryan Hernandez each shot a 73.

"We let a good one get away from us. Team was six under par at one point and the back nine saw it get away from us," Eastern Florida State College men's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "Much better play than yesterday and much better balance but we need to play all 18 holes better. Okeeheelee is an incredible test of your patience, it is a really good prep course when looking farther down the road."

Eastern Florida State College will tee off in the final round of the tournament Tuesday morning.
