Men's golf team set for Coastal Alabama Invitational

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team is in Alabama for the Coastal Alabama Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.

The men's team is coming off a strong second-place finish at the Titan Winter Invitational and come into this week's tournament tied for sixth in the Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Div. I Coaches Poll. The Titans tied No. 1 New Mexico Junior College after three rounds but lost in the playoff to finish second for the second straight season.

Freshman Adam Vermut placed third overall, shooting rounds of 70, 69 and 74 at Suntree Country Club. Teammate Nicholas Miller placed fourth, two strokes behind Vermut.

The Coastal Alabama Invitational will be played at the Timber Creek Golf Club in Point Clear, Alabama. The tournament will be the first of the spring season for host Coastal Alabama Community College.
