Men's golf team ties for third at JSCC Pioneer Invitational

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team tied for third in the JSCC Pioneer Invitational at Musgrove Country Club in Jasper, Alabama.

The Titans shot the low score of the day, a 3-over 287 to finish behind Central Alabama and Wallace State.

Brandon Boncore shot even par 71 in the second round to tie for 10th overall at 3-over. Teammate Adam Vermut was also tied for 10th overall with a 72 in the final round. Noah Campbell also shot even par and tied for 16th overall for the tournament.

Nick Miller tied for 21st overall with a 73 on Tuesday while Murphy Allard tied for 32nd overall.

"We were better today but still not scoring the way we are capable," Eastern Florida State College men's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "Plenty of balance on the scoring but need to take advantage of scoring opportunities. The offseason will afford an opportunity to get in the work we need to do for the spring schedule."

The team wraps up the fall season with three third-place finishes along with a fourth place finish.
