Men's golf team wins the Coastal Alabama Invitational

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team shot a 296 in the final round to win the Coastal Alabama Invitational in Fairhope, Alabama on Tuesday.

The Titans shot 8-over as a team in the final round and won the tournament by six strokes. Individually, Thomas Matthews and Ryan McMillan both tied for second place at 2-over 145 after McMillan shot a 72 in the final round and Matthews finished with a 74.

Sean McGinty and Ben Ramos both posted 75s in the final round as McGinty finished tied for 12th and Ramos finished tied for 23rd. Drew Lanier shot a 77 to also finish tied for 23rd.

"It was a good scrap today and the guys hung in there well," Eastern Florida State College men's golf coach Jamie Howell said.

Calhoun Community College finished second with a 597 while Central Alabama Community College was third. Jefferson State's Adonis LeBlue won the individual title at 2-under 142.

Eastern Florida State College will compete in the Florida Tech Panther Invitational March 1-3 at Duran Golf Club.
