Men's golf team places second at Trojan Invitational

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team placed second in the Trojan Invitational at The Preserve Golf Club in Mississippi on Tuesday.

The Titans shot a 311 in the final round to finish the two-day tournament with a 606. Central Alabama Community College shot a 300 in the final round to win the tournament at 594. 

Sophomore Thomas Matthews lost in a playoff to Central Alabama's Keith Watkins who birdied the first playoff hole. Matthews shot a 75 in the first round to place second at 4-over for the tournament.

Teammate Ben Ramos shot a 77 to place tied for 15th overall while Josh Yang and Sean McGinty finished tied for 23rd and Ryan McMillan shot a 78 to place tied for 26th overall.

The Titans will now begin preparing for the spring season which starts in the spring.
