Men's golf team in sixth at Bulldog Classic

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team is in sixth place after the first round of the GMI Bulldog Classic in Georgia.

Sophomore Thomas Matthews shot a 76 in the first round while teammate Ryan McMillan had a 78. Josh Yang and Pontus Torgner each shot 82 and Ben Ramos finished with an 83 for the Titans.

Central Alabama is leading the event, shooting a 290 as a team, 20 strokes better than second-place Snead State. Eastern Florida State College shot a 318 in the first round.

The Titans will tee off Tuesday morning for the final round of the event.
