Former Titan Mickey DeMorat struggles in third round of U.S. Open

Former Eastern Florida State College golfer Michael 'Mickey' DeMorat struggled on the back nine in the third round of the 118thU.S. Open Championship at Shinnecock Golf Club in Southampton, New York.

DeMorat made the turn at 1-over par with eight pars, but struggled on the back nine with five bogeys and two double bogeys to finish with an 80 in the third round and is tied for 54th place at 14 over par for the tournament.

The Merritt Island native will tee off at 9:16 a.m. for the final round with Kevin Chappell. Television coverage will begin at 10 a.m. on Fox.
