The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday. The top five finishing teams of the 10 competing advance to the NJCAA Division I men's championship tournament May 16-20 at Duran Golf Club in Viera.
The Titans are seeking their 14th consecutive appearance under head coach Jamie Howell.
The Titans have won the district title twice in the last three years and five times in the last 13 years.
"The guys hung in there well and posted a solid afternoon score to capture the lead from host Wallace State," Howell said.
"Good solid play by Corey Herman, trailing the individual portion of event by one, and Kerry Sweeney did a good job of coming back each round to post good scores. Good comeback by Brad Bawden this afternoon after struggling in the morning round.
"We will need a total team effort tomorrow as Wallace State will be tough as nails on their home course and the team who overcomes the conditions best and retains patience and poise will come out in top."
