"It was an extremely challenging day," Eastern Florida head coach Jamie Howell said. "We had a frost delay this morning followed by round one starting at 42 degrees and winds at 10-15 mph. The afternoon round was notably warmer with temperatures climbing into the 60s and winds from 15 – 25 mph.

"The team hung in there all day and did a good job not succumbing to the conditions. Awesome start by Brad Bawden and Kerry Sweeney was steady as ever. Herman, Keymont and Bennett all bounced back with good afternoon rounds and we will need to continue our steady play tomorrow as Johnson & Wales University is a very good team and Webber has a history of playing well at our tournament."
