Men's basketball team cruises past Santa Fe

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team cruised to victory against Santa Fe College in a conference road game on Wednesday night.

The No. 19 Titans scored 90-plus points for the second straight game, defeating the Saints 92-56 in a Citrus Conference game.

Fredy-Salam Sylla scored 10 of the first 17 points in the game as the trio of Sylla, Corey Caulker and Chandler Watts scored 30 of the team's 34 points in the first half.

Santa Fe cut the lead two in the first four minutes of the second half but Caulker and Sylla hit back-to-back 3-pointers as the Titans extended the lead. Emondrek Erkins-Ford scored 10 points in a four-minute span in the second half and finished with 16 in the game.

Caulker led the way with 18 points and Watts had 16 with Sylla finishing with 15 points in the win.

Eastern Florida State College has won six straight games and had 21 wins overall while improving to 10-1 in the conference.

The Titans will be back at Titan Field House on Saturday afternoon, hosting Indian River State College at 4 p.m. in a conference game. Admission is free and fans can watch the game live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
