Four men's basketball players named to all-conference team

Four members of the Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team were named to the all-Citrus Conference team on Friday.

Sophomore Owen Aquino was named the Citrus Conference Player of the Year and is on the first team with teammate Matija Zuzic.

Aquino, who is the first Titans men's basketball player since 2017-18 to be the conference Player of the Year, averaged 15.6 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season. The Madrid, Spain native was even better in conference games averaging 16.9 points. His 8.5 rebounds per game is fourth in Region 8 and he is making 60.6 percent of his shots which is third in the state. Aquino made the all-conference second team last season for the Titans.

Zuzic was also named to the first team after averaging 12.3 points per game for the Titans. The sophomore from Belgrade, Serbia hit 41.8 percent of his 3-point attempts this season and averaged 11.9 points and 6.1 rebounds in conference games.

Luca Colceag and Andrija Bukumirovic were named to the all-conference second team.

Colceag averaged 11.3 points and 6.9 rebounds this season for the Titans as the Bucharest, Romania native started 26 games this season.

Bukumirovic came off the bench for most of the season for the Titans and averaged 9.7 points and 6.9 rebounds but was better in conference games, averaging 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds. The Sjonica, Serbia native has made 59.8 percent of his shots this season which is fourth in Region 8.

Head coach Jeremy Shulman was named the Citrus Conference co-coach of the Year, leading the Titans to a 14-2 conference record this season. It is the ninth time Shulman has been named the conference coach of the year.

The Titans are the No. 1 seed in the FCSAA/NJCAA Region VIII Men's Basketball Championship and will play No. 8 seed Hillsborough Community College in the first round on Wednesday in Niceville.
