Men's basketball team plays for conference title on the road Monday

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will play for the Citrus Conference title on the road Monday night.

The Titans, who come into the final game of the regular season 13-2 in the conference, will travel to Polk State College for a 7 p.m. contest.

Eastern Florida State College has won three straight games and are 25-4 this season. The Titans are allowing teams to score just 62.2 points per game which leads Region 8. Sophomore Owen Aquino is averaging 15.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game this season while teammate Matija Zuzic is averaging 12.3 points and Luca Colceag is averaging 11.3 points per game.

Polk State College is 12-17 overall and 3-12 in the conference this season and will be playing their final game of the season on Monday. The Titans won the first meeting 95-62 at Titan Field House.

The Titans are trying to win their 11th conference title under head coach Jeremy Shulman but first Citrus Conference title. Eastern Florida State College has already clinched a spot in the FCSAA State Tournament which begins March 13 at Northwest Florida State College. The Titans will host Tie to Ball Prep in a scrimmage on Friday at 6 p.m.
