Men's basketball team cruises to conference win Tuesday night

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team cruised past Santa Fe for a Citrus Conference victory Tuesday night at Titan Field House.

The No. 13-ranked Titans won their 10th straight game, cruising to a 92-61 victory. Eastern Florida State College is now 10-1 in the Citrus Conference and are now 22-3 on the season.

The Titans got off to a fast start as Luca Colceag opened with a 3-pointer as Eastern Florida State College got off to a 7-0 start and quickly led 15-4 on a Matija Zuzic 3-pointer six minutes into the contest.

Santa Fe would cut the lead to 10 points, 30-20 with under eight minutes left in the first half. But Eastern Florida State College would score the next five points and would head to halftime leading 40-26.

Luca Colceag scored 11 of his 14 points in the first half.

Owen Aquino dominated inside in the second half, scoring seven points in the first five minutes of the second half. Aquino would score 13 points in the second half and finish with 19 in the game.

Emondrek Erkins-Ford finished with 12 points and Zuzic had 11 points in the win.

Eastern Florida State College will travel to Indian River State College on Saturday for a 4 p.m. game before returning to Titan Field House on Wednesday night to play Daytona State College.
