Jeremy Shulman named to FCSAA Men's Basketball Hall of Fame

Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Jeremy Shulman will be inducted into the FCSAA Men's Basketball Hall of Fame during the Region VIII Tournament in Niceville this week.

Shulman becomes the eighth member of the men's basketball program inducted into the Hall of Fame and first since Tom Wasdin in 2002.

"It's very surreal, I can't believe that It is happening. I am honored, I am humbled, I am grateful and it is a testament to all of the players that have played here, the assistant coaches I have worked with," Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said. "It is all of our success that brought us to this announcement today."

The head coach is in his 13th season leading the Titans and has recorded 318 wins and been to the national championship tournament five times, finishing second in 2016-17 and third in 2017-18.

The Nashville, Tennessee native has been his conference's coach of the year eight times and the Titans have won at least a tie of the conference title the past 10 seasons.

Shulman took over a program that had won seven games and had not been to the postseason in 11 straight seasons. And in his first season with the Titans he won 18 games and qualified for the FCCAA state tournament by winning the Southern Conference Tournament championship.

And on Thursday afternoon he will be on the sidelines in the Region VIII Tournament as the Titans open against Daytona State College. Eastern Florida State College comes into the tournament as the No. 7 seed and has won 21 games.

It marks the 13th straight season that Shulman's teams have won at least 18 games and the coach has never had a losing season with the Titans.

Tickets will be $35 for a four-day pass or $10 per session and can be purchased online at https://nwfraiders.com/tournaments/Region8Tourney or at the Northwest Florida State College gym. You can also watch the games live online via Emerald Coast TV.
