Men's basketball team travels to Santa Fe for conference game

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will play Santa Fe College Wednesday evening in a Central Conference game in Gainesville.

The Titans come into the matchup 19-7 overall and 9-2 in the conference and have won the first two meetings this season.

Santa Fe College comes into the game 6-5 in the conference and are 8-4 at home this season and are 2-2 in the past four games.

The Saints are averaging 82.9 points per game this season which is sixth-best in Region 8. Jalen Speer leads Santa Fe, averaging 17.5 points per game while Kordell Brown is scoring 14.2 points and Nasir Mann is averaging 14 points per game this season.

Eastern Florida State College's Andres Burney is averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds in conference games this season while teammate Carlin Gelin has had a double-double in the past two games.

The Titans have won the past two games and eight of the past 10.

Wednesday night's conference game will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Gainesville. The Titans will return to Titan Field House Saturday afternoon against Daytona State College at 4 p.m.
