Men's basketball team hosts FSC-Jacksonville Wednesday

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team is looking to rebound Wednesday night, hosting the Florida State College at Jacksonville in a Central Conference matchup.

The Titans, who are 17-7 overall and 7-2 in the conference, will host the Blue Wave at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Eastern Florida State College is coming off a loss on a controversial last-second play that has them in second place in the conference.

The Florida State College at Jacksonville comes into the matchup also losing their past two games and are 2-7 in the conference. Tarence Guinyard leads the Blue Wave, averaging 24.4 points per game in conference games this season and is averaging 20.5 points per game for the season. Teammate Joshua Paige is averaging 13 points per game.

Eastern Florida State College won the first meeting 80-65 as Andres Burney recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Burney leads the Titans, averaging 16.8 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. Teammate Brandon Garcia is averaging 12.4 points per game. Eric Parnell is coming off his first career double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds against St. Petersburg College.
