Men's basketball team hosts Santa Fe College Saturday on WEFS-TV

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball hosts Santa Fe College Saturday in a Central Conference game at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.

The Titans, who are ranked 24th in the latest NJCAA Division I poll, have won seven straight games and are 16-5 overall and are in first place in the conference at 6-0. It is the Titans best conference start since the 2015-16 season.

Santa Fe College comes into the matchup 4-2 in the conference and is coming off a conference win on Wednesday against the Florida State College at Jacksonville. Guard Jalen Speer is averaging 17.4 points and has scored at least 10 points in 10 games in a row. Teammates Kordell Brown and Nasir Mann have each scored 13 points per game this season while Nikolas Noumeros averages 10.8 points and 9.2 rebounds.

Eastern Florida State College is led by guard Caleb Byrd who is averaging 23.7 points this season and has scored in double figures in all 15 games he has played in this season. Teammate Andres Burney is averaging 16.3 points and 9.8 rebounds and has 10 double-doubles this season while Brandon Garcia is scoring 15.3 points per game.

The men's basketball program will honor the 2012-13 team that won a conference title at halftime.

Saturday's game will tip off at 4 p.m. and admission is free. The game will also be shown on WEFS-TV, which is channel 9 or 455 on Spectrum, 68 on DirecTV, 30 on Dish and 68 on AT&T Uverse. The game will also be shown live online at EFSC Titans YouTube page.
