Men's basketball team hits road for conference game Saturday

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will take a five-game winning streak into Jacksonville Saturday afternoon.

The Titans, who are receiving votes in the NJCAA Division I poll, will play the Florida State College at Jacksonville in a Central Conference game at 4 p.m. Eastern Florida State College is 4-0 in the conference and 14-5 overall.

The Florida State College at Jacksonville comes into the matchup 1-3 in the conference and have lost the past two conference games. The Titans have won the past four meetings and lead the series 11-1.

Tarence Guinyard leads the Blue Wave, averaging 19.2 points per game and has scored at least 23 points in three of his past four games. The Blue Wave are 4-4 at home this season. Teammates Joshua Paige and Caleb Paige are averaging 13 and 12 points respectively.

Caleb Byrd leads the Region 8 in scoring, averaging 23.6 points per game for the Titans while teammate Andres Burney is averaging 16.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Brandon Garcia is averaging 15.3 points and 5.3 assists per game.
