Men's basketball team hosts Daytona State College Saturday

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will host Daytona State College Saturday in a battle for first place in the Central Conference.

The Titans and Daytona State College both come into the matchup 2-0 in the conference and vying for the early lead in the Central Conference.

The Falcons have a three-game win streak and are No. 19 in the NJCAA Division I poll at 15-2 this season. The Titans come into the game 12-5 on the season.

Daytona State College has four players averaging double figures this season led by Jacob Crews who is averaging 20.5 points per game which is third in the state, while teammate Josue Grullon-German is averaging 16.5 points off the bench.

Eastern Florida State College's Brandon Garcia is averaging 17 points per game while teammate Andres Burney is averaging 16.5 points and 10 rebounds per game. The sophomore forward was named the NJCAA Division I Player of the Week last week.

Saturday's game will begin at 4 p.m. at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus. Admission is free and the game will be shown live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
