Men's basketball team hits road for conference game Wednesday

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will travel to Santa Fe College for a Central Conference game Wednesday night.

The Titans, who are 1-0 in the conference and 11-5 overall, are coming off a victory against Polk State College in which Andres Burney scored 30 points and had 16 rebounds. They will face a Santa Fe College team that defeated Florida State College at Jacksonville 91-79.

Santa Fe is 1-0 and 9-6 overall and are led by Jalen Speer who is fourth in the state in scoring, averaging 19.2 points per game. Kordell Brown and Nasir Mann are each averaging 14 points per game while Nikolas Noumeros is averaging 10 points per game.

The Saints are sixth in Region 8 in points per game, averaging 86.7 points in 15 games this season.

Eastern Florida State College is led by Caleb Byrd who is averaging 23.6 points while Burney's 10 rebounds per game is second in the state.
