Men's basketball team plays in tournament in Georgia this weekend
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will play in the Jets Classic on Friday and Saturday at South Georgia Tech College in Americus, Georgia.
The Titans come into the tournament 3-0 and ranked 20th in the latest NJCAA Division I poll. They will open the tournament against the host South Georgia Tech who is 2-0 and ranked 25th in the poll and made it to the national tournament last season. Friday's game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Eastern Florida State College will also play East Georgia State College at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Caleb Byrd comes into the tournament averaging 26 points per game while teammate Andres Burney is averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds this season.
It is the first of five straight tournaments for the Titans including three at home over the next two months.
